Prof. Mohamed Mostafa Ramadan Ahmed is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Technology and Education at Helwan University, Egypt, with extensive academic and research experience in electrical and power engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Northumbria University, UK, where his research focused on developing solid-state fault current limiting and interrupting devices for low-voltage distribution networks. His expertise spans power electronics, fault current limiters, solid-state circuit breakers, renewable energy integration, and the thermal analysis of power semiconductor devices. Dr. Ahmed has held academic and research positions at several institutions, including Northumbria University, the University of Warwick, and Jazan University, and has led the Electrical Technology Department at Helwan University. He has authored and co-authored numerous papers in high-impact international journals such as IEEE Access, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, and the International Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems. He has served as a reviewer for major IEEE conferences and journals and contributed to the advancement of power system protection, control, and renewable integration technologies. His teaching portfolio covers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in power electronics, electrical machines, and control systems. A member of professional bodies including the IEEE, IET, and the Engineers Syndicate of Egypt, Dr. Ahmed is recognized for his leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration, and commitment to fostering innovation and academic excellence in electrical engineering education and research.
