Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hanif Sirinzade is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Selcuk University. His research primarily focuses on the synthesis and biological evaluation of novel heterocyclic and indole-based compounds with potential antioxidant, antimicrobial, cytotoxic, and enzyme inhibitory properties. He has extensively investigated melatonin analogues, hybrid molecules containing indole and other heterocycles, and compounds acting as inhibitors of cholinesterase and carbonic anhydrase enzymes, which are relevant to the treatment of neurodegenerative and metabolic disorders. Dr. Sirinzade has published numerous scientific articles in internationally recognized journals and has presented his research at various national and international conferences. His academic contributions include studies on the design, synthesis, and structural elucidation of new bioactive molecules supported by in vitro and in silico analyses. He has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in pharmaceutical chemistry, antioxidant chemistry, heterocyclic compounds, and related subjects. In addition to his teaching and research activities, Dr. Sirinzade has served as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed scientific journals and has held academic administrative roles, including Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University and Vice Dean at Selcuk University. He has also gained international academic experience through participation in the Erasmus Programme at Cardiff University, contributing to his expertise in pharmaceutical sciences and collaborative research in drug discovery and development.
