Early Academic Pursuits:

Abid Ali Baloch embarked on his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biological Science from the University of Karachi, Pakistan, graduating in December 2007. Building upon this foundation, he pursued a Master of Science degree in Organic Chemistry from the Federal Urdu University of Science, Arts, and Technology, Pakistan, completing his studies in December 2014. Driven by a passion for research and a desire to delve deeper into chemical engineering and technology, Abid Ali pursued a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and Technology at Zhejiang University, China, where he graduated in September 2021. His doctoral dissertation focused on the synthesis and characterization of caprolactone-based polyurethane with degradable and antifouling properties under the guidance of Prof. Qinghua Zhang.

Professional Endeavors:

Following the completion of his Ph.D., Abid Ali transitioned into the role of a Postdoctoral Researcher at Southwest University, Chongqing, China, where he has been involved in the development of bioinspired polymers for antibacterial and antifouling coatings in the biomedical field since March 2022. Before his doctoral studies, Abid Ali gained valuable industrial experience, serving as a Senior Quality Control Officer at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Pakistan LTD from April 2015 to September 2017. His responsibilities included ensuring the quality of raw materials and finished products, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and conducting various testing procedures. Additionally, Abid Ali contributed to the field of education as a Science Teacher at Sadiq Public Secondary School from September 2013 to January 2015, where he imparted knowledge in chemistry and biology. Prior to that, he served as a Quality Control Analyst at Akhai Pharmaceutical Pakistan Limited from September 2010 to March 2013, where he conducted analyses and reports on various pharmaceutical products.

Tanmay Rom started his academic journey with a strong foundation in chemistry. Born on 01/02/1994 in Dhanyaghori, West Bengal, India, he pursued his education with dedication. His early academic achievements include receiving the Swami Vivekananda Merit-Cum-Means Fellowship from the West Bengal government during his high school, B.Sc., and M.Sc. studies. Additionally, he was honored with fellowships from Bharat Sevashram Sangha and The Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture during his M.Sc. (2015-2017) and qualified for the Joint Admission test of Masters (JAM) in 2015.
