Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sercan Karabulut is a psychiatrist with extensive clinical and academic experience in the fields of substance use disorders, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders. His research focuses on the neuropsychiatric effects of substance use, the clinical outcomes of psychiatric treatments, and the interplay between neuroinflammation, cognition, and psychiatric symptoms. He has conducted significant work on schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and methamphetamine-related disorders, exploring treatment strategies, cognitive impairments, and clinical predictors of disease progression. Dr. Karabulut has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on topics including dissociative disorders, antipsychotic treatment outcomes, HCV screening in addiction populations, and psychometric assessments for substance use disorders. He has contributed to book chapters addressing sexual addiction, motivational approaches for medical complications in outpatient addiction treatment, and alcohol and substance use disorders during pregnancy and postpartum. Actively engaged in professional development and knowledge dissemination, he has presented his research at numerous national and international psychiatric conferences, covering topics such as early-stage bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance-induced psychosis, and cognitive effects of addiction. Dr. Moses earned his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Microbiology & Biotechnology from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in 2019. He also holds an M.Sc. in Microbiology from Obafemi Awolowo University (2014) and a B.Sc. in Microbiology from the same institution (2008). His educational journey reflects a deep dedication to the field of Microbiology.

Dr. Moses has diverse experience in academia and research. Since 2021, he has been a CAPES Young Talent International Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UNIFESP. He previously served as an International Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia (2022-2023), and as a Lecturer I at Ebonyi State University, Nigeria (2019-2021).
