Tamene started his career in September 2010 E.C. at Amanuel Mental Specialized Hospital and AKHC in Addis Ababa, serving as a junior psychiatric professional. He was a mental health focal person in Wolaita Zone during the COVID-19 crisis, helping patients cope with mental health emergencies.
