Prof. El Ayyat began his academic journey with a B.Sc. in Special Geology (Distinction) from Assiut University in 1983. He completed his Ph.D. in 1998, where he studied the stratigraphic and sedimentological evolution of the Eocene sequence between Minia and Beni Suef.
