Education 🎓

Benti holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Reproductive Health (2013) and a BSc in Public Health (1999), both from Jimma University, where he also earned a Diploma in Comprehensive Nursing (1989). He is currently pursuing a PhD in Reproductive/Public Health at Jimma University, focusing on improving sexual and reproductive health policies and practices in Ethiopia.

Professional Experience 💼

Benti has served as a Lecturer at Mettu University since 2016, teaching and mentoring students in Maternal Health, SRH, and HIV/AIDS education. Previously, he was the Focal Person for IPAS-Ethiopia, coordinating CAC and contraceptive service integration at Mattu University. He also managed community health initiatives with Plan International Ethiopia and held senior academic roles as Dean at Beka and Kea-Med Medical Colleges. Earlier in his career, he served as District Health Manager and Head of Health Centres, leading public health programs and facility management in western Ethiopia.

Benti is skilled in public health program planning, training coordination, monitoring & evaluation, and community health project management. He is also adept in clinical mentoring, research proposal development, and supervisory roles in both academic and NGO settings.
