Dr. Monireh Ganjali is a multidisciplinary scientist specializing in biomaterials, laser physics, photothermal technologies, and advanced nanostructured materials. Her research integrates laser material interactions, nanotechnology, and biomedical engineering to develop high-performance coatings, nanocomposites, and therapeutic platforms. She has led numerous national and international research projects focused on corrosion-resistant ceramic and bioceramic coatings, laser-deposited functional surfaces, polymer–bioceramic nanocomposites for medical implants, and surface engineering of steels, titanium alloys, and aerospace components. Her work extends to the synthesis and characterization of silica and gold nanoparticles, design of core–shell drug delivery systems, and photothermal applications for cancer therapy, including studies on gold–silica nanoparticles under near-infrared irradiation for targeted cell destruction. She has contributed significantly to advancing laser cladding, pulsed-laser deposition, waveguide and CO₂ laser development, and the fabrication of nanocomposite structures such as Al₂O₃-ZrO₂ and SrFe₁₂O₁₉. Her expertise includes optical system optimization, thermal analysis of coating processes, and evaluation of bioactivity, antibacterial performance, and surface morphology for biomedical and industrial purposes. Dr. Ganjali has collaborated with global universities and industry partners on materials innovation for medical, energy, and aerospace sectors, producing impactful outcomes in corrosion protection, dental materials, energy efficiency enhancement, and nanoparticle-mediated therapies. Across her career, she has combined theoretical modeling with experimental laser technologies to develop scalable solutions in nanomaterials science, demonstrating strong leadership in cross-disciplinary research and applied photonics.
