Prof. El Ayyat began his academic journey with a B.Sc. in Special Geology (Distinction) from Assiut University in 1983. He earned his M.Sc. in Sedimentology and Stratigraphy in 1989, focusing on Lower Eocene carbonates in Upper Egypt. He completed his Ph.D. in 1998, where he studied the stratigraphic and sedimentological evolution of the Eocene sequence between Minia and Beni Suef.
