Previously, he was the Focal Person for IPAS-Ethiopia, coordinating CAC and contraceptive service integration at Mattu University. He also managed community health initiatives with Plan International Ethiopia and held senior academic roles as Dean at Beka and Kea-Med Medical Colleges. Earlier in his career, he served as District Health Manager and Head of Health Centres, leading public health programs and facility management in western Ethiopia.

He was a mental health focal person in Wolaita Zone during the COVID-19 crisis, helping patients cope with mental health emergencies.
