Her work explores the etiology and diagnostic pathways of Sjögren’s syndrome, xerostomia, and other salivary gland disorders, with a strong emphasis on understanding the immunological and functional mechanisms underlying dry mouth, salivary dysfunction, and inflammatory oral diseases. She contributes to advancing minimally invasive diagnostic methods by examining saliva as a non-invasive biological medium for early disease detection and monitoring.
