Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hangwei Wan | Explosion Science | Research Excellence Award
Associate Professor | University of Science and Technology Beijing | China
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hangwei Wan is a specialist in safety science and engineering with expertise in explosion dynamics and high-temperature reaction mechanisms involving gas, dust, droplets, and multiphase energetic materials. His research focuses on flame evolution, ignition sensitivity, explosion characteristics, thermal energy propagation, and hazard assessment under extreme conditions. He has led nationally funded research projects and contributes actively as a principal investigator. His work integrates experimental analysis, theoretical modeling, and safety engineering principles to improve risk prevention, emergency response, and protective technologies. With numerous high-quality SCI publications as first or corresponding author, his research provides significant insights for industrial safety, energy systems, and explosion hazard mitigation.
