Prof. Bo Yuan | Biochemistry | Best Researcher Award
Professor | Jiangsu Normal University | China
Prof. Bo Yuan is a distinguished researcher whose work focuses on microbial-host physiological ecology with particular emphasis on metabolic entropy dynamics. His research explores how microorganisms, as fundamental life forms with diverse metabolic capabilities, interact with host systems through complex energy exchange processes. By investigating metabolic alterations during host-microbe interactions, his studies provide insights into the thermodynamic and kinetic mechanisms that govern physiological processes and the flux of assimilated carbon across biological interfaces. His publications cover a wide range of topics including microbial metabolism, bioactive compounds, polysaccharide characterization, enzymatic applications, natural product chemistry, and innovative biotechnological solutions. He has contributed significantly to understanding the physiological effects of compounds such as naphthenic acids, salvianolic acid, cochlioquinone derivatives, and polysaccharides, as well as the development of novel biomaterials and catalytic systems for bioenergy and environmental applications. His work integrates microbial ecology, biochemistry, pharmacology, and material science to address challenges in agriculture, environmental sustainability, and human health. His studies on chitosan-based carriers, lipases, and biocontrol agents highlight his expertise in developing applied solutions for food safety, crop resilience, pollutant remediation, and disease treatment. Through interdisciplinary approaches, he has advanced the fields of microbial ecology, metabolic regulation, and biotechnological innovation, positioning his work at the interface of fundamental science and practical application. With 1,298 citations by 1,181 documents across 56 publications, his research continues to provide valuable contributions to sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, and biomedical development, establishing him as a leading scholar in the study of microbial-host interactions and metabolic entropy dynamics.
